Summer Wedding Celebrations at the Fison Barn, Oxfordshire

Is rain a wedding photographer’s worst nightmare? Quite probably! And on this Saturday in early August, there seemed to be every chance that this nightmare could come true. But much to everyone’s delight it seemed that the weather Gods were looking kindly upon us. Yes it rained, but it was perfectly timed. (If rain can ever have perfect timing?!) It poured during the wedding ceremony at the Oxford Registry Office,  but shortly after that it eased, and the sun came out. Boy, were we lucky!

Next it was on to the Fison Barn in Little Wittenham for the reception – a nineteenth century barn with exposed oak beams which has clearly been lovingly restored. With an enclosed quod outside the barn, it makes for a perfect entertaining space, allowing kids to run around freely and safely. We all enjoyed an excellent BBQ and ice-cream treats galore. And for those of us wanting stunning views across Oxfordshire (or needing to walk off the wonderful food we’d had!) we enjoyed a walk up Wittenham Clumps. What a wonderful day, followed by a fun ceilidh taking the party into the wee small hours!

Here are just a few photos from this lovely Oxfordshire couple’s special day!
