QUESTIONS

These are the questions I’m most often asked, but if you think of anything else, please drop me an email or give me a bell!

WHERE ARE YOU BASED AND DO YOU TRAVEL?

I’m based in Winchester, Hampshire, but I LOVE to travel and shoot at new venues, whether in the UK or abroad.

For weddings in the UK

  • My packages include travel up to 60 miles from Winchester. Additional milage is charged at £0.45p per mile.
  • For venues that are over 1.5 hours drive from Winchester, I may require accommodation depending on timings of your day. In that case, a standard fee of £150 would be added to your invoice.

For weddings abroad

  • Please get in touch to tell me all about your plans and I will put together a tailormade offer for you.

WE'RE SUPER AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. WILL THAT BE OK?

Yes!

Please know that I do not expect you to be models. My job is to direct you in a way that helps you relax, feel natural, and be your true comfortable selves in front of my lens. You do not need to practice poses, study Pinterest pins or let the nerves take over.

If you’d like a bit of practice in front of the camera, then how about an enagement (or pre-wedding) shoot 3-4 months before your wedding?

It’s the perfect thing to get you comfortable. By the end of the session you’ll feel like it’s just been an enjoyable walk in the park, and any camera nerves will soon float away. Plus you’ll get some lovely photos to show for it!

Have a think and let me know.

DO YOU OFFER BESPOKE PHOTOGRAPHY PACKAGES?

Looking for something a bit different to the usual wedding photography packages? No problem!

I’d be happy to discuss the options to fit your needs and budget.

Get in touch and I’m sure we can work something out!

SHOULD WE BOOK A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?

Absolutely, I highly recommend having two of us capture your wedding day for so many reasons!

Take a look at this blog post which explains the pros and cons to help you decide.

I have a list of trusted professional photographers I frequently work with (who complement my style), so if this is of interest, please let me know as soon as you can (and, at the latest, 6 weeks before your big day) and I’ll happily organise this for you.

To ensure all your photos are in-keeping with my style, I edit and deliver the second photographer’s photos along with my own.

HOW DO WE BOOK?

Dates are reserved on a first-come first-served basis by submitting a signed photography agreement and a non-refundable booking fee of £300.

Full payment is required 30 days before your wedding.

If you would rather pay in monthly instalments to help spread the costs then this is something I’d be more than happy to discuss. Just let me know.

WILL YOU VISIT OUR VENUE BEFORE OUR WEDDING?

I would love to visit every single venue with my couples but unfortunately my schedule doesn’t allow this.

What I like to do instead is arrive at your venue early on your wedding day so I have time to scope it out then.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS?

Whilst I hate keeping people waiting (and I know how keen you will be to see your wedding photos!) I truly believe that quality is more important than speed.

I always aim to deliver your photos within 8 weeks after your wedding.

HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

As a rough guide, I usually deliver about 50+ images per hour of coverage.

I always strive for quality over quantity and will choose the best and most significant photos to tell your story. And if there is an abundance of gorgeous photos, I will never hold them back nor ask you to pay extra for them.

So you can get a good idea of what to expect, here are a few full galleries for you to look at.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU'RE ILL ON THE DAY?

Illness has yet to stop me from performing my duties. (I’m a hardy Scottish lass, and rarely get ill – touch wood!)

If I’m unable to be there, I will do my very best to find you an awesome replacement photographer. I have a brilliant network of photographers I can contact. I will then pay them to shoot your wedding in my place, and take care of everything else as planned, including all the editing and delivery of your final images.

ARE YOU INSURED AND BACKED UP?

Absolutely. For your peace of mind, I have public liability (up to £5m) and professional indemnity insurance. If your venue requires proof of insurance certificates I would be more than happy to provide them on request.

I always have a spare camera body with me on a wedding day should one fail. My camera also has two memory card slots so I’ve always got duplicates if one memory card fails. Your photos will also be backed up onto 2 external hard-drives and cloud storage.
