SO YOU LIKE MY PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
HOW ABOUT A CUPPA?
If you like my style of wedding photography and think I could be the right photographer for you, then please get in touch to find out if I have your wedding date free. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can and also send you a copy of my brochure which includes full information about the different wedding photography packages I offer.
Assuming I have your date free, our next step would be to have a cuppa and a chat to see if we click, and then we can take it from there. This is also the perfect time for you see a sample album and ask any questions you might have.
Can’t meet in person? We can also have a Skype, FaceTime or WhatsApp chat – whatever is easiest for you.
YOUR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOSHOOT
LET’S BANISH ANY CAMERA-SHY NERVES
Engagement (or pre-wedding) shoots are available as part of my offering, and are the perfect thing for couples who are camera-shy, think they look terrible in photos or say they hate having their picture taken. Why? Because they’re designed entirely with your comfort in mind and to give you some practice in front of the camera before the big day.
Together we’ll spend a relaxed hour, walking, talking and getting to know each other better while I snap away with my camera. It’s all about having some fun and capturing the connection between you. So the more you can mess about and make each other laugh, pull silly faces and sneak a quick kiss, the better! And the result? Lots of beautiful, happy and relaxed photos!
EASY AND RELAXED
Lorna made the whole experience so easy and relaxed. She was so welcoming and professional. I don’t really like my photo being taken, yet it felt like we were just meeting a friend for a day out. I cannot recommend Lorna enough!!! Her work is amazing and she certainly has an eye for detail. Thank you once again.

TELL ME ABOUT YOUR WEDDING PLANS!
I WANNA HEAR ALL THE DETAILS
I’m always on hand to answer any questions, but about six weeks before your wedding we’ll schedule a call to chat through all the details of your wedding day. This will include the timeline for your day and group shots. This way, we can be sure that we’re on the same page, that I’ll be in the right place at the right time and that your wedding photography coverage will be just the way you want it.
WOOHOO! YOUR WEDDING DAY HAS ARRIVED!
HAVE FUN AND ENJOY EVERY MINUTE
I will take lots of shots throughout your wedding day and absolutely love capturing emotion, interaction and all those special details. I work creatively with minimal fuss so that you can enjoy your day without lining up for endless photographs. In fact, a lot of the time you won’t even know I’m there, which I believe is just the way it should be.
YOUR WEDDING ALBUM
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD
Long after the final drops of champagne have been drunk, your finery worn, and the last of the cake crumbs swept away, all you have left are your photos. So let’s make the most of them. Let’s create a beautiful handmade wedding album to instantly bring back all those wonderful memories with every turn of the page.
These are the questions I'm most often asked, but if you think of anything else, please drop me an email or give me a bell!

HOW DO WE BOOK?
Like most photographers I generally get booked fairly far in advance, so please get in touch as soon as possible via my contact page to check my availability.
If I’m available, I recommend either a video chat or meet up to make sure we click together before you go ahead with your booking.
Dates are reserved on a first-come first-served basis by submitting a signed photography agreement and a non-refundable booking fee of £300.
Full payment is required 30 days before your wedding.
If you would rather pay in monthly instalments to help spread the costs then this is something I’d be more than happy to discuss. Just let me know.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK?
Good wedding photographers get booked up 1-2 years in advance, especially for weekend weddings from May to September – so booking as early as you can is recommended to avoid disappointment.
I am now almost fully booked for 2020, with space for only a handful of additional weddings.
I already have some bookings for 2021, and plenty availability in 2022.
Please get in touch via my contact page to find out if I'm free on your wedding date.
SHOULD WE BOOK AN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT?
Most people feel apprehensive about getting their photos taken. An engagement (or pre-wedding) shoot gives you the chance to start feeling relaxed in front of my camera, and also gives us the chance to get to know each other better, so it's a really great idea to help you feel camera-confident before your big day.
Your shoot would ideally take place 3-4 months before of your wedding.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU’RE ILL ON THE DAY?
Illness has yet to stop me from performing my duties. (I'm a hardy Scottish lass, and rarely get ill – touch wood!) However, if I am seriously ill and unable to attend your wedding then I will use my network to get another photographer to take my place. Just as with a second photographer, I would also edit their work in my style and deliver the photos to you personally.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET OUR PHOTOS?
Shooting any wedding is only 10% of a good photographer’s work. The other 90% happens afterwards. This includes culling all those images with eyes half shut or unflattering poses, followed by a careful edit of each individual image.
Whilst I hate keeping people waiting (and I know how keen you will be to see your wedding photos!) I truly believe that quality is more important than speed, so it can take anything up to 8 weeks for delivery of images (particularly in busier, summer months).
If you’ve booked a second photographer, I also edit their work to ensure style consistency, so this will affect timings.
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
This will depend on a variety of things, such as how long you've booked me for, number of guests, whether or not there's a second photographer and whether there are location changes during the booked time (i.e. times I am unable to photograph).
In order to photograph your wedding as it naturally unfolds and to get the best coveage possible, I usually take multiple shots. Some photos will be culled immediately (e.g. if people blink, suddenly sneeze, or if something unpredictable happens.)
Generally speaking, I always strive for quality over quantity (which is why you're hiring a pro, of course!) with the end result being a beautiful collection of all the best photos from your wedding for you to treasure for years to come.
So you can get an idea of what to expect, I’d be very happy to share a couple of complete galleries with you.
SHOULD WE BOOK A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
There are a number of benefits in having a second photographer:
- If you’re having a big wedding (100+ guests) it’s impossible for me to capture all the fun, so having a second photographer is really useful.
- He/She can provide a different perspective at the ceremony which means we can capture more amazing shots.
- If you and your partner are getting ready at different locations, we can between us capture all those pre-wed nerves and excitement and can therefore tell the story of both of you getting ready.
- If you’re only having a short drinks reception (of just an hour), a second photographer can be really useful so that I can concentrate on the group and couple photographs, while my second photographer concentrates on taking relaxed shots of your guests.
I have a list of trusted professional photographers I frequently work with (who complement my style), so if this is of interest, please let me know as soon as you can (and, at the latest, 6 weeks before your big day) and I’ll happily organise this for you.
To ensure all your photos are in-keeping with my style, I edit and deliver the second photographer’s photos along with my own.
ARE YOU INSURED AND BACKED UP?
Absolutely. For your peace of mind, I have public liability (up to £5m) and professional indemnity insurance. If your venue requires proof of insurance certificates I would be more than happy to provide them on request.
I always have a spare camera body with me on a wedding day should one fail. My camera also has two memory card slots so I’ve always got duplicates if one memory card fails. Your photos will also be backed up onto 2 external hard-drives and cloud storage.
100/10. CAN'T RECOMMEND ENOUGH!
We instantly knew we wanted Lorna to do the photography for our wedding. She has been fantastic all the way through with regular check-ups, making sure we knew what we wanted the plan to be and always made time for us. If you are reading this and need to book a photographer then stop and book her now, it will be the (apart from getting married) best decision you can make.
100/10. Can’t recommend enough!
