Now this is most definitely a wedding I’d been looking forward to for a long time! Caswell House near Witney in Oxfordshire offers such an idyllic setting with stunning medieval barns, beautiful gardens to relax in and enjoy – particularly the private garden which is strictly reserved for the couple and photographer to use! – that I knew I was going to be spoilt for choice and would find it hard to put my camera down for a second, with something beautiful to capture at every turn!
From my first meeting with Claire and Richard, I knew that we were on the same page. They wanted to have a fun and relaxed wedding day, celebrating their love for each other while surrounded by their nearest and dearest, which is just the sort of wedding I love to be a part of.
In order to keep some of the costs down as well as make their day unique and special, Claire and Richard rallied together friends and family to help, from the flowers on the tables (to match the gorgeous bouquets and buttonholes by Cotswold florist Peppermint and Peony) talented musician friends playing and singing during the ceremony to the bountiful cake table with lots of different cakes and bakes that was put out after the wedding breakfast. What a feast!
And the day itself? Although there were a few moments when rain threatened, the dark clouds quickly dissipated and for the most part, Claire and Richard were blessed with a gloriously warm and sunny July day and it was very much the brilliantly fun and happy day they were hoping for. And didn’t they all look absolutely stunning too?
